The Ding is the local nickname for Reading. We use it for a practical guide aimed at residents and visitors in Berkshire, not a mystery account and not a London dump.
What we publish
- Events with date, venue, price and a source link
- Local news summaries (credited, never copied wholesale)
- Reading FC fixtures, results and related notes
- Rail, bus and roadworks that hit the town
- Business offers (free for the first three months; paid spots labelled Ad)
Where we draw the line
RG postcodes and Greater Reading catchment (Caversham, Tilehurst, Earley, Woodley, Emmer Green, Shinfield). London only when it directly affects people here (Elizabeth line, GWR Paddington, M4 into town).

- What it is, when, where (full address or venue)
- Price or offer terms, and an end date
- A link if you have one
- Whether you want it treated as a free listing (launch period) or a future paid spot
We may edit for length and house style. We do not invent offers. Paid placements will carry an Ad label under UK advertising rules.
